How long do family law cases take to complete?

What is a “no-fault” divorce?
Colorado is a “no-fault” state, which means the only legal requirement is stating the marriage is “irretrievably broken”. The court’s focus is not on blame, but on fairly resolving issues.
How is our property divided?
Colorado is an “equitable distribution” state, meaning marital property is divided fairly, which does not always mean an equal 50/50 split. The court considers multiple factors to ensure a just outcome.
How is child custody decided?
